WIE BEKOMME ICH FEINE POREN?

HOW DO I GET FINE PORES?

Everyone wants a radiant, fine complexion. Clogged and enlarged pores make the skin appear less clear and fresh. Oily skin in particular, which tends to produce increased sebum, requires careful care to refine the pores. Find out how clogged pores arise and how you can improve them with the right skin care. Look forward to product recommendations and expert tips.

How do clogged pores occur?

Sebaceous glands are located under the epidermis in the so-called dermis and open into the hair follicle. The sebum produced by the glands reaches the surface of the skin through the pores in the hair canal and flows away. The secreted sebum fulfills important tasks. Together with sweat, it forms the pH value of the skin and protects it from drying out and skin irritations.

However, if skin flakes, which are caused by the death of old skin cells and remain on the skin, are not removed from the upper layer of the skin, the pores become clogged and the sebum cannot drain away properly. The pores continue to widen and a breeding ground for inflammation is created.

Larger pores are not only a result of inadequate skin care, they are also hereditary. People with a corresponding predisposition tend to have increased sebum production and oily skin. Cleansing and treatment with special care products is the be-all and end-all for fine pores.

In 3 steps to a refined complexion

For a fresh complexion and fine pores, you need to pay particular attention to cleansing and caring for your skin. Only through regular, correctly applied skin care with care products that are perfectly tailored to your skin type can pores and skin texture be refined. Our recommendation: Take the following three steps to heart when treating your skin:

Step 1: Cleansing the skin

To cleanse your skin morning and evening, use a cleansing gel or washing cream that removes the sebum on the surface of the skin. You can also remove sebum from your skin with a fine pre-wash cleanser. These innovative cleansing products contain fine oils that combine with the skin's sebum. Simply massage into the skin and then rinse with water. Attention: Oily skin types should avoid creamy cleansers.

With special masks that contain clay, such as the Clearing Intensive Mask from Thalgo, you can also ensure fine pores.

Step 2: Treat skin with tonic

teaser-tonicEven if the cleaner is rinsed thoroughly with water, fine residues often remain. These can be wonderfully removed with a tonic. Another advantage: By cleaning the skin, the pores have opened slightly, the ingredients of the tonic penetrate into the pores and can develop their effect here. Ideal is e.g. b the Tonic SPECIAL from Atame, which frees the skin of remaining sebum deposits with natural and herbal ingredients. Simply apply to a cotton pad and rub your face with gentle pressure.

Other important active ingredients that your tonic should contain to give you fine pores are light fruit acids and salicylic acid. They penetrate deep into the pores and liquefy the sebum so that it can drain away easily. Highly recommended here is e.g. b the peeling lotion from Thalgo. If the pore is clean, i.e. free of sebum, it contracts again and becomes refined.

Step 3: Care for the skin properly

For the care of your skin, there are special serums that contain vitamin C, retinol and herbal ingredients such as horsetail. They ensure regulation and reduction of sebum production. You should also use a light, moisturizing formulation to care for your skin to promote fine pores.

Make sure that it is “Oil Free” or Emulsifiers and cream bases do not contain too many lipids.

Tip: The make-up should not be too rich and should at best have a light amount of powder. There are also special primers that you apply under makeup. These limit the flow of sebum and ensure that your skin does not shine.

Peelings: Prerequisite for finer pores

In addition to thorough cleansing and careful care, the regular use of peelings is extremely important to achieve the best skin results.

Our tip:

  • Choose special fruit acid and enzyme peelings instead of classic mechanical peelings (scrubs). A mechanical peeling removes the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, but unlike a fruit acid or enzyme peeling, it cannot penetrate the pores to liquefy the sebum.
  • Other important active ingredients in the peeling are salicylic acid and menthol. The latter gives the skin a special feeling of freshness.
  • Unless your beautician recommends otherwise, you should use the peeling at least twice a week.
