WHAT EXACTLY IS A PEELING?
A peeling is a cosmetic facial treatment that causes the superficial removal of the top layer of skin. This is usually a so-called mechanical peeling. Horny scales are removed from the skin using the finest abrasive particles. These are integrated into a nourishing formula that is applied to the skin and gently massaged in with circular movements.
There are also fruit acid peels and enzyme peels that, thanks to special combinations of active ingredients, help dead skin particles to dissolve and, together with the peeling product, can be removed again in a particularly gentle manner on the skin.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRUIT ACID PEELINGS AND ENZYME PEELINGS
A peeling removes dirt, impurities and dead skin cells from the skin. This ensures a refreshed, clear and awake complexion. It also makes the skin more receptive to subsequent care products - because without peeling there is no deep effect. In addition to granular peelings, which mechanically remove the skin cells, fruit acid and enzyme peelings are particularly gentle on the skin, as they also work without unnecessarily irritating the skin due to the friction caused by granular peeling.
HOW DO FRUIT ACID PEELINGS AND ENZYME PEELINGS WORK?
Both types of peeling help the skin to regenerate from the inside out as they stimulate the renewal of skin cells. An enzyme peeling or fruit acid peeling that is used regularly:
- sustainably refines the complexion
- Provides a rosy, fresh complexion due to increased blood circulation
- gives the skin a wonderfully soft and supple feeling
Pores clogged with sebum, dirt, make-up or cosmetic residue can also be prevented by regular peeling. In addition, peeled skin tans faster and more evenly, which is why peeling is particularly recommended before using tanning products.
Ezympeeling – the gentle way to exfoliate
Especially dry and sensitive skin types that are prone to irritation should use an enzyme peeling instead of a mechanical peeling in order not to irritate the skin unnecessarily. Calluses are solved through the interaction of effective enzymes, not through mechanical removal. Although enzymatic peeling is classified as a superficial peeling, it is also more effective and gentler. In the case of impure skin, new inflammations caused by bacteria that could be spread by spreading the peeling product on the face are also avoided. There is a large selection of enzymatic peels, but which enzyme peel is the best? Below I will introduce you to our three most popular enzyme peelings and their special features.
Deeply clean skin thanks to fruit acid peeling
Application and mode of action of a fruit acid peeling treatment are similar to those of an enzymatic peeling, but it is not enzymes but rather fruit acids that are responsible for removing the skin cells. The concentration of the acid contained in a fruit acid peeling varies depending on the skin type.
- In the cosmetics sector, fruit acids with an acid content of up to 20% may be used.
- Peels with an acid content of more than 20%, however, can only be used by a dermatologist.
Fruit acid peels for at home contain low doses but still effective fruit acids and cleanse the skin even deeper and more thoroughly than an enzyme peeling. Since they are able to remove not only impurities, but also adhesions between the horny lamellae, fruit acid peels also have the greatest cleansing effect of all types of peeling.
As an activating stimulant, a fruit acid peeling is ideal for tired skin. It makes a dull, exhausted complexion appear fresh and clear. If you have skin that tends to shine, a fruit acid peeling is also a good choice. However, for impure skin with skin irritations and small inflammations, enzymatic peeling is the gentler option so as not to irritate the skin further.
