CAUSES OF LARGE PORES?
Basically, blockages lead to enlargement of the pores. Our sebaceous glands are located in the dermis below the epidermis and open into the hair follicle. The sebum produced by the glands reaches the surface of the skin via the pores in the hair canal, where it finally flows away. Some people have a hereditary tendency to increased sebum production and oily skin.
However, if dead skin cells remain on the skin, the pores become blocked and sebum accumulates under the skin. Since the sebum can then no longer drain properly, the pores widen and a breeding ground for possible inflammation forms. Large pores are not just a question of heredity, but above all a question of skin care. Removing make-up in the evening and proper cleansing are the foundation for fine pores.

Only properly applied skin care at regular intervals helps to refine the complexion and pores in the long term. It is important to use products that are perfectly tailored to your skin type.
1. Clean
Use a cleansing gel or cream every day, morning and evening, to remove sebum from the surface of the skin. Massage the gel gently and then rinse with lukewarm water. Attention: Oily skin types should avoid creamy cleansers. Masks that contain clay or moor mud have a supportive effect here.
2. Tonic
Use a tonic. Another advantage is that the pores, which are dilated by the cleansing , absorb the ingredients even better and the tonic has a more intensive effect. To do this, simply pour the tonic onto a cotton pad and rub it onto your face with gentle pressure. Important active ingredients that your tonic should contain: light fruit acids and salicylic acid.
3. Proper care
For the care, regulation and reduction of your sebum production, there are special serums that contain vitamin C, Retinol and herbal active ingredients such as horsetail. We recommend a light, moisturizing formulation. The cream base should not contain too many lipids and should ideally be labeled “Oil Free”.
4. Peels
In addition to thorough cleansing, we recommend regular use of peelings to intensify the result of fine pores. Choose special fruit acid and enzyme peelings because, in contrast to conventional mechanical peelings (scrubs), these penetrate into the pores to liquefy the sebum there.
